Rico was born in Argentina to Italian family but moved to london in 2003 to develop his passion for all projects related to sound and image.
Rico developed an early interest in music at a very young age. His musical tastes developed throughout his early years as he performed electric guitar within school bands. He then started exploring various styles of music after taking lessons with some of Argentina's prestigious guitarists. He also became skilled with the piano and drums and wrote short compositions for all three whilst still at school.
When Rico realised that making music was his mission in life he sought out further training and attended the Conservatoire of Music in Cordoba, Argentina. He continued to compose short pieces and after graduating from The Conservatoire he then went on to study composition at the University of Cordoba.
Rico has been influenced by many genres and has an insatiable appetite for the latest ideas in modern music. As a composer his works range from electronic and dance pieces to fully fledged orchestral scores.
Since moving to the UK, Rico has been focusing principally on film scores and audio for media and is currently composing for short films. Many of his works can be found in Music Libraries in the UK. Recently some of the Films he worked for have been broadcasted on SKY TV and gone through various film festivals.
Rico has continued with his love for playing the guitar. He is involved with three musically diverse bands and enjoys the challenge of playing different styles. He also works as a session musician for various production companies.
As well as his passion for composing, he is a committed educationalist. He has worked with both children and adults across the UK and South America and is currently teaching for the Music Service in the London boroughs of Redbridge and Waltham Forest, as well as working within private educational programmes.
